Mattie Jo is currently starring alongside Cuyle Carvin in an Indie Feature Asteroid, written and directed by Dylan Avery

In July 2020, Mattie Jo guest starred in a New Media episodic entitled Little David currently streaming on UrbanFlixTV.


In April 2020, Mattie Jo took part in a reading for a new play written by Liana Sonenclar produced by Tony award winning (Hadestown Broadway) Jonathan Demar. Mattie Jo is currently writing and directing her own pilot for God, Sex, and Rich People the series.


In December 2019, Mattie Jo starred in Sisters, a short film written and directed by Sarah Nolen, as well as Junkie, a short film by Shaded Media Group. 

Mattie Jo was recently interviewed  about her blog: God, Sex, and Rich People on the Take Me To Coffee podcast, the Reclamation Project podcastCur/E/Us podcast, and Backsliders podcast. 


In 2019 She starred in Playground, a short film by Chase Parker, Abducted, a graduate thesis film for Sacred Heart University, andCupcake Dad, a graduate thesis film for SUNY. She modeled for Revelrea Hats, Gartner Inc, and Ave Properties. 

Mattie Jo was nominated for Best Actress for her starring role as Clarissa in Foresee Film Production's short film Over The Threshold in the NYC Festival of Cinema

She was nominated for Best Actress for her starring role as Mira in Echolight Productions short film Slumber Still in the Something Wicked Film Festival
